Logo is the symbol, through which a business firm gets its identity. Since logo is considered to be the image of the business, it should be developed with intricate care and creativity. In the true sense, a well-designed logo has the capability to visually represent a corporate brand. If you look carefully, you will find that logos are found on the company products, business cards, brochures, website, company apparel and letterhead. • Using Scanned Image
  It has been observed that if a picture is enlarged from a small size, it becomes pixilated and takes a mosaic-like appearance. Scanned images are basically made of pixels. So, whenever a pixel-based image is enlarged, the pixel of the original photo gets distracted and the photo becomes unusable. This is the reason, why it is advisable to avoid using pixel-based image for your business logo design. Instead, make sure that you are using vector image.
  A vector image is made of point plots. So, when it gets enlarged the mathematical relationship between the lines is properly maintained and the picture does never get distorted. It is always better to design a logo in a vector-based graphics program.
• Using Stock Art
  This is no doubt a big mistake. Usually commercially produced stock art comes with a use license and anyone can use it in his/ her graphic designs. This is why, you are unable to trademark a logo based on this clip art. On the other hand, clip art does not look unique. So never use stock art or clip art while designing your business logo.
• Not Considering Use
  Try to keep the size of the logo as small as a postage stamp. However, make sure people can clearly see it. Avoid using multi-colors; instead use black and white color for your logo. This is because, if you use these colors, your logo will look good in print. It has been observed that simple logos are more acceptable than the complicated ones.
