Difference between Content Writing and Copywriting

Comment2

Content writing is done in order to generate content for the website. Through a good content, the writers can draw more traffic to the web page. Thus a well-written web content serves as a powerful advertising tool and makes the people aware of the products and services your organization offers.

Web Content Writing

On the other hand, copywriting is also done for promoting a person or a commercial enterprise. However, still there are some basic differences. Content writing includes structuring the text on page, structuring paragraph and insertion of proper keywords. According to the search engine optimizers and webmasters, content is considered to be the main thing of a web page.

It is always advisable to keep the content informative as well as precise. This is because a well-written content has the capability to educate its readers on the topic they were searching. At the same time it also has the potential to satisfy the search engine crawler bots. In order to develop a search engine result friendly content one needs to show a little bit of creativity as well as the efficiency to insert targeted keywords at the right place.

How to do Copywriting?

Still now, there are controversies regarding the similarities and differences between content writing and copywriting. Content is typically paragraph based, whereas, copy uses sentence structure to disseminate information in a particular way with an explicit tone. A person can read a good copy in his/her own voice.

In the true sense, writing a copy and thereafter structuring that copy into great content- this entire process needs to be completed for developing an effective content. Content is no doubt the most important thing but it merely has any value without copy.
