It is always advisable to design a brochure with an extra coverage of 1/8th inch beyond each edge.
  • Resolution, a Key Factor- High resolution images may create problem in creating a brochure design. The main problem of improper resolution images is that after being printed they look hazy and blurred in the brochure.
  • The images we see on computer monitor are around 72dpi, which is absolutely fine for viewing on monitor. But this is not suitable for a printed brochure. Usually, for brochures, at least 300 dpi is needed.

  • Selecting Correct Paper- Most of the print shops that are engaged in the brochure printing work provide a 100lb or 80lb stock paper, with a variety of matte finishes. However, there is no doubt in the fact that 100lb stock is comparatively more substantial than 80lb stock paper. It is always better to use heavy paper. This is because; most of the people have this notion that highly professional organizations use heavier paper.
    Varnish can also enhance an appealing gloss to a company’s brochure. Other than this, lot of ink coverage can also make your brochure look glossy. If you have used too many colors in your brochure, it can also prevent fingerprint smudges.
